MDG SOA - Update Selected Fields

Hi ,

We have SAP MDG connected an external system via Mulesoft. The data from external system is converted to XML and we are using SOA services to get it imported in MDG . But the challenge we are facing is not all data is maintained in external system ,so when data is sent from external system to MDG it overwrites to NULL value .

We need a solution to see if there is any possibility of updating only selected fields when data is sent to MDG and skip which are not required to be updated..

Please provide any pointers
