MDG-M how to add Manufacturer (MRFNR) as search field on Search Materials screen

Hi MDG experts,

I need to add the field Manufacturer (MFRNR) as a search field in the dropdown on Search Materials screen

In this How to.. In section 5.6 I found that I can manipulate the available search fields in this MDGIMG activity ( Transaction: MDGIMG -> General Settings -> UI Modeling -> Define Field Properties for UI)

I inserted the entry: MARAPURCH MFRNR with tick mark No Selection not set.

Then I execute IMG activity (Transaction: MDGIMG -> Master Data Governance for Material -> Clear UI Metadata Buffers)

BUT the Manufacturer does not appear in the dropdown for fields for selection. Any suggestions to how I include Manufacturer in the dropdown?

I managed to remove 'Industry sector' in the dropdown by setting a tick mark in entry: MATERIAL MBRSH (Tick mark not set in hardcopy)

I also checked that the Manufacturer (MFRNR) field is present in the search model, and if i search for a specific Manufacturer in the Search Term: field the it finds the relevant records.

Hello Mikael,

IF you are using HANA based search then you can just select it in your Search view & regenerate the Search view.

It will then be as a Search field.

Hello,

You can add it in the search view and then you can see it in the screen. Create a custom search view and add the fields you require it in search.
