Scenario
We have many custom hierarchies maintained in MDG for custom codeblocks . Some of the object can have alternate hierarchy. In alternate hierarchy, parent-child relationship can be different than the standard one. Some of these hierarchies are replicated to S4 and other just reside in MDG staging and supplied to BW infoobjects using data source.
Solution:
From MDG perspective, I think things are pretty standard and above requirement can be taken care off. We have concerns in replicating custom hierarchy in Set tables.
We have replicated custom object hierarchy to S4 tables (SET* tables). We use setclass ‘0000’ for custom set provided by SAP. Here we have encountered following issue.
To avoid the situation, we have currently told business to have separate numbering (manually) for both set of hierarchy and nodes. In case of alternate hierarchy, we do face similar issue during replication. Currently, we are using different setclass for alternate hierarchy.
Question to expert:
1. How can we overcome above issue? Is there any standard procedure where SAP recommends how to replicate custom object hierarchy in Set tables?
2. How to use custom(Z) set class to replicate hierarchy in set tables?
3. How can we make custom(Z) set class avaiable in HRRP report relvant so that hierarchy is transferred from Set tables to HRRP tables?
Lokking for your expert opininons.
Thanks and regards.
