MDG Consolidation using BP SOA service

Hello Experts,

I have one question on MDG Consolidation process. We have 5 ECC source systems from where we need to load the vendor data(BP) into MDG Hub on S/4 HANA. I am trying to know how to use MDG Consolidation in this scenario using BP SOAP webservice. I have gone through a few blogs(Consolidation with SAP Master Data Governance on SAP S/4HANA page 41 and 42) but things are not clear.

It would be a great help if any of you could provide me with any comprehensive step by step document or any other help so that, it can help me figure out the final approach on the consolidation strategy from the said multiple ECC source systems.

I am trying to understand the following:

1) How will SOAP webservice trigger the consolidation steps automatically?

2) Is there any external system(any ETL tool) which will have to be deployed here to create the SOA message payload after extracting vendor data from the multiple source systems and publish that SOA payload for MDG/S4 HANA system to consume to trigger MDG Consolidation steps?

3) How will the data extraction take place from multiple source systems in this scenario?  

4) Is there any background job to be scheduled at MDG side which will read the SOA payload and trigger the MDG Consolidation steps?

5) In this case, will SOA payload populate all the Consolidation Source tables?

Any pointer in this regard would be much appreciated.

Just sharing my thoughts

1) How will SOAP webservice trigger the consolidation steps automatically?

In the Ch & Cr field you need to basically input the MDC process templates which needs to be triggered by the inbound SOAP service. For Create it has to be consolidation, while for change it has to be mass processing.

2) Is there any external system(any ETL tool) which will have to be deployed here to create the SOA message payload after extracting vendor data from the multiple source systems and publish that SOA payload for MDG/S4 HANA system to consume to trigger MDG Consolidation steps?

-> It depends on the system architecture, for data migration scenario its better to have a middleware to perform data transformation before loading into MDG

3) How will the data extraction take place from multiple source systems in this scenario?  

-> It can happen through custom programs, BODS, SLT etc.

4) Is there any background job to be scheduled at MDG side which will read the SOA payload and trigger the MDG Consolidation steps?

-> Its real time based on bgRFC.

5) In this case, will SOA payload populate all the Consolidation Source tables?

yes they will populate SRC tables as well as PRC tables.
