Dear Community,
With this forum post, I would like to find out if there is a kind of "best practice" for handling partner roles for Salesforce integration with MDG and S/4 Hana. We currently have the following situation:
• Each address receives its own SAP number.
• Deviating addresses (e.g. goods recipient) are stored as partner roles in the main address.
• All customers are distributed to S/4 Hana.
• Partner roles are maintained for equipment in S/4 Hana.
• The equipment is transferred from S4/Hana to Salesforce. The leading partner role is the goods recipient address.
Since we have 1-5 goods recipients per customer and equipment, this leads to chaos in Salesforce. This is because the data model between SAP and Salesforce is different.
We have already considered transferring the partner roles 1:1 to Salesforce. However, since there are too many differences between the sales areas, this makes little sense. Another consideration is to introduce a labeling on the customer level in MDG to identify main customers and deviating addresses and to send this information to Salesforce to link the accounts.
Another consideration is to represent these interrelationships through business partner hierarchies.
Are there any companies here with similar integration or experience on this topic?
