Hi All,
We are in process of implementing the Master Data Consolidation for Material. Currently there is no Specialist team in place which can run the consolidation process.
When compared to the governance process, we find some inconsistencies in the way the solution is designed and would appreciate an input on same.
1. Control on Process template access. Currently for a user, there is no limitation on the process template which is a gap in our opinion. Compared to Governance where we can control the access the Change request type, we don't have control over the process templates. Is there any authorization Object which would allow us to control access of process templates.
2. The Governance Process follows the organisational level authorizations i.e., User's authorization to plant can be controlled which would allow any organisation to properly define who is able to raise a request for same. The same seems to be missing from Consolidation framework as none of the authorizations are available in the roles provided. Any documentation on same would be helpful.
These are some critical issues which we see would hamper the ability to provide a solution which would work for an organization on ground level. If this is not sorted, we would rather use the File Upload(old but works better 🙂 ) for the scenario.
Regards
Abdul
