Mapping SAP S/4HANA Cloud Products to Business Processes

Hello everyone,

I'm currently in the process of redesigning my company's end-to-end processes using the value stream approach, aligned with SAP best practices. Our aim is to integrate SAP S/4HANA Cloud products with our newly designed end-to-end processes to ensure comprehensive coverage and efficiency.

Here's a brief example of the business processes I've developed, broken down from Level 1 to Level 4, specifically for a part of the "Lead to Cash B2B" process:

  • L1: Lead to Cash B2B
  • L2: Plan to Optimize Marketing and Sales
  • L3: Develop Marketing Strategy and Plans
  • L4: Includes steps like understanding markets and customer capabilities, developing marketing strategies, establishing budgets, and designing customer loyalty programs.

I'm looking for insights on the best ways to map these detailed process levels to the corresponding SAP S/4HANA Cloud products. My goal is to determine which steps are already supported by SAP and identify where gaps might exist.

If anyone has experience with this type of mapping or can point me to useful resources or tools, your input would be greatly appreciated! How do you handle the integration of specific SAP products into detailed business processes like these?

Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions!

Hi @JD_WongLoera,

Thank you so much for your detailed response. I've followed your steps and can now view the Cloud Solution diagrams.

Regarding this, I have a questions (see screenshot for reference): Within the blue SAP S/4HANA Cloud groups, what do objects like "Sales Order Management," "Service Order Management," and "Fulfillment Location Determination" refer to? Are these the SAP S/4HANA Cloud products/solutions that I will later implement in my ERP within the Order to Fulfill Value Flow?

Thanks again for your help.

Hi @MaxMister

each of those is what is called in SAP Lingo a: Solution Capability.

To give you an idea of what is executed in each Solution Capability, you can take a look at the Fioriapps library. (see screen shot below)

I would recommend that you take a look at the solution portfolio site to get familiar with the Solutions per Industry, and that you link with your Enterprise Architecture team, and of course your formal SAP Solution Advisor to explore withe their guidance what could be the roadmap according to technology and business process needs at your organisation.
