Hello!
Is it technically possible to manually upgrade a CAL deployment once it is present on the IaaS instance (i.e. Amazon Web Services, MS Azure)?
Will doing so void any support defined in the CAL-customer agreement?
For example, if we use CAL to deploy a specific version of an SAP product and then decide to apply a later service pack or version, can we do it directly via our Cloud installation or should we wait for the version to be available in CAL?
thanks!

Hi Jeffery,
Yes, it is possible to apply updates and deploy add-ons for CAL instances but, ONLY for Paid-Subscriptions. It is not allowed to do this for the Free Trials as per the terms & conditions.
Once you have a paid-subscription for CAL and deploy this in your cloud account, it's just like any other SAP system and you have full-authorization and control over the solution.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Adarsh
