Mail adapter problem: java.io.IOException: invalid syntax in MIME header: --

Hi!

I've got a problem with a mail adapter (sender) on my SAP PI (version: 7.10 SP12).
Here is my mail adapter configuration:
- transport protocol: IMAP4
- message protocol: XIPAYLOAD
- use mail package: checked
- keep attachments: checked
- QoS:  EO
- set adapter-specific message attrbutes: checked

Most of e-mails are processed correctly but sometimes I find the following error in the communication channel monitoring:
"exception caught during processing mail message [message numer]java.io.IOException: invalid syntax in MIME header: --".

Have you ever had a similar problem? Have you got any solution? I would be grateful for any hints how to solve the above issue.
