Long time to run a report in VS2022 the first time

It now takes 2 minutes to a report the first time.  Whichever we select to report run takes 2 minutes and then any subsequent reports run as normal.  This started about 3 weeks ago.

Any thoughts?

What SP are you using? What changed in the past 3 weeks? look for Windows patch history, has been known to cause problems.

I don't know why but it is normal for the first report to take more time due to the app loading all of the CR runtime.

It can also take time if you have any Verify DB options enabled in the Report Options, uncheck if not required.

Often it is recommended to load a dummy report when the app first starts up to preload the CR runtime.
