Hello SAP UI5 Team,
I am currently using the sap.ui.richtexteditor.RichTextEditor control in my SAP UI5 application. I have encountered an issue where pasting local images directly into the editor (via clipboard) does not work as expected. When I attempt to paste an image, it simply shows <p>img</p> in the content, without displaying the image itself.
Upon investigation, it seems that pasting images from the clipboard is not natively supported by the control. My use case requires allowing users to paste images directly from their local clipboard into the editor without resorting to custom coding or external file upload mechanisms.
Could you please confirm if there is an inbuilt way to support local image pasting directly into the RichTextEditor? If not, is there any plan to include this feature in future releases, or is there any recommended alternative to achieve this without custom development?
