Loading of data from ECC to BW initially takes time

Hi,

I am loading data from ECC to BW System.

But I find that this process initially takes some time to start say for 15 minutes or so.

I have no clue as to why this is happening.

Could anyone help me out here.

Hello Sushanth, sorry to go a bit off topic, but can you please tell me the steps you do (transaction codes, possible screenshots, ...) to start the load in ECC towards BW/BI?

I need to do a master data feed, but I am a SAP basis guy and not a BW specialist.

When started load in BI, did u check SM50 screen (in R/3) to see whether BGDs are available ?

If all BGDs are occupied, then your job would be in wait and start once BGD is available

No, I found that there were no BGD's available in SM50 Transaction.

But initially, the loading of data does not start for some time.

After that all the data is loaded at once.

I am uanble to understand this weird behaviour.

try running in RSA3 of ecc system see how long does it takes. or load in to PSA in BW see if that takes time as well.
