Load data to SAP

Hi All,

I just want to check whether BO DS can be used to upload data to SAP R/3. I know is not possible to directly connect to SAP tables to load data my question pertains to whether we can embed or call custom BAPI or LSMW (ABAP code) or BDC (ABAP code) in Business Objects to load data, if so can you please help me to explain the process.

BAPI/RFC or IDOCs is the one option.

The other is to create files that are then consumed by LSMW or Batch Input.

Hi Werner,

Thanks for the reply.

So that means we cannot call LSMW or BDC within BO, BO will generate a load file and we have to use either LSMW or BDC as a separate method. But where as BO can send data to SAP using iDOC /Custom BAPI.

Please confirm whether my understanding is correct
