Hi All,

We got Licensees for Datasphere Premium Outbound and we are trying to connect to BW on Hana system and load DSO/Cubes via Datasphere.

Initially i created an SAP BW connection and was able to successfully connect to our BW system. But unable to view any DSO/Cubes .

Do i need to do any configuration in BW for BW objects to show up in Data sphere.

As of now i could see only my BPC objects.

Once this is successful i will be creating an Abap connection and want to use D.S replication flows to move data to 3rd party systems.

Any help on this is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Chaitanya.

Hi Chaitanya,

If you have ABAP connection, then you can use ODQ/ODP. The ADSO has to have ChangeLog active.

If you use HANA connection, then you need to expose the ADSO, HCPR as HANA Views and only full is possible, unless you have a change date.

Cannot use a Cube for load at all. Cube is obsolete.

You are trying to upload data to BW Object as destination from replication flow, rt? You can upload the data into the DWC Schema and then use openODS f.E. to read the data (Virtual Provider).

Hope this helps

Hi Martin, Thanks for the reply.

We realized our DMS versions are not upto required level and so we are facing connection issues.

Also is there any specific config we need to do for ODP extraction from Datasphere  in SAP BW.

Also we were told by SAP that we can even bring Cubes data using replication flows.

No special config for ODP, just activate. Cubes --> hmm. OK. I used BW/4 as source only, but if SAP says so. I guess via ODP you still can load from Cubes, or exposing HANA View. Interesting however and thank you for the hint.
