LIST GUIBB - Invalid index when setting lead selection

Dear All,

Have couple of Questions.  The application I am developing is a  typical Query Application ( SEARCH GUIBB - LIST GUIBB - Free Style Webdynpro View as Detail) in ECC Netweaver 7.02 . I need specific formatting and FORM GUIBB is not flexible to our needs.

Using OVP and a Singleton Class to share data.

Question 1.

How do I clear the Output List and the Free style UIBB when CLEAR button is clicked in the Search UIBB?  It seems it clears only the Search Criteria.

Question 2.

When I have a Lead Selection and then change the Search Criteria, I get a Invalid Index setting Lead Selection. Obviously when the Search Criteria changes the Lead Index is not initialized.  I am trying to reset the Lead Index when the SEARCH Criteria changes but could not figure out how to do it.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Palani,

Ans 1: You can capture clear event in process event method of free style wd component and clear the data for the view details and similarly in list uibb you can capture the event in GET_DATA method and clear the CT_DATA and ev_data_changed = abap_true.

Ans 2: For the lead select you don't have to do anything if you are performing an action and setting list data again it won't be lead selected , means your list will be refreshed.

Thanks for your quick reply.

1. I put a break point in Process Event ( Free Style WD Component ) & GET DATA and Process Event in LIST_GUIBB. But when I click 'CLEAR' in the SEARCH section,  the control does not come to these sections.

2.Sorry it is not clear to me what you want me to do.  However I tried the following.  I created an other Button in OVP Tool bar to reset data ( Not the Search section but the List and the Details section).  This works fine however this does not solve the Lead Index error if the user changes the Search without resetting the data.  Also the user needs to click the Clear button to clear the Search Criteria and the custom 'Reset' button clear rest of the data.

I figured out a solution for my situation and just for future references I am mentioning here how I resolved it.

1.  I could not figure out how to use the standard 'CLEAR' button to clear the List and the Detail section. At least in my situation it did not trigger any event in the FPM event Loop. So I disabled it in the OVP Configuration and then used a Custom event to clear everyting - Search Criteria, Result List and the Details using custom code.

2.  In the LIST GUIBB - Get Data event I could reset the Lead Index ( CV_LEAD_INDEX) whenever there is a change in Data.
