Hi,
We want to limit the number of sessions per user to 10 by setting parameter SESSIONS_PER_USER.
As we know , there is a dedicated shadow process in oracle for each SAP work process. Is it feasible to set SESSIONS_PER_USER=10 in oracle for SAP system?
Best Regards.
Tushar
Hi Tushar,
If i understand you correctly, You cannot manage SAP users at oracle level, you will need to limit the users from within SAP
this is an overview from SAP

Just to add, number of sessions per user be limited

If you set parameters at DB level you limit the whole SAP system and not just users.

Hi
You cannot use this parameter, as SAP system connects onto the DB using only the SAPSR3 account.
SAP users are not defined at Oracle level.
The only option option for restricting resource usage is to use Oracle Ressource Mger
1589924 - SAP Workload Management via Oracle Resource Manager
