Learning Strategies for Complex Groovy Scripts and Graphical Mapping

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding building knowledge about Groovy Script or Graphical Mapping. Both can become very complex during message transformations due to context changes or complex customer requirements. My question is, is there a good way to learn this? Are there any reference books, an SAP course focusing on this, or blueprints for  recurring message transformation available? Or have you gained your experience exclusively through practice in your projects?

I wouldn't be using Groovy unless I were to need some processing of a byte stream for attaching or doing something like a bit manipulation. There a tons of existing learning sites for graphical mapping, but you'd be best served to learn how to use XSLT.

I agree with Ryan - xlst though little complex is a very powerful.

Thank you for the response. But it's possible to recreate the functions from the B2B Add-On for graphical mapping, right? I believe that in the EDI area, most mapping requirements can be covered this way, can't they?
