Launcher issue with AO 2.2 SP2 software installation

Hello All,

We just installed AO 2.2 SP2 software and trying to install to our users.

But some of the users are facing launcher issues as previous on 1.4.

Here is the screenshot for the issue , Any idea on why it is happening ?>

Please let me know, if anyone have any idea regarding this.

Are you using Excel 2013?  Would you please check this SAP Note? https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2032146/E

Hello Tammy,

Yes we are in excel 2013.

Above note did not resolved our issue , even after unchecking " Show the start screen when this application starts"

Not sure, what would be the issue.

Last time I experienced this I needed to upgrade to the latest SAP Gui patch - see

We have been solving this by rebuilding the user desktop profiles due to apparently some corruption of registry entries if you have had previous versions of Office or AO installed.

Give that a try and see if that helps solve it.

How did you manage to solve this issue? I am trying to find high and low on it but couldn't find any solutions to it.

Hi David,

As I mentioned before we don't see this often but when we do it is being fixed by our desktop team by rebuilding user profiles on their desktops which apparently fixes some of the things in the registry that may get corrupted due to multiple installs of office or AO.

So I would suggest to try rebuilding a user profile and see if that helps. You can search for it online also to get specific instructions on how to do it. I personally am now aware of the detailed steps.
