Hi,
I am trying to export a BW report repository from KM via ICE to import into a migrated server.
The ICE Export works fine with a small test repository - but then i tried it on a large one (30000 folders, ~1GB in size) and the process falls over.
I get to the stage of downloading the file but it seems that some error has occurred and the zip file is truncateed, so i can't import it.
Does anyone know of ways to tune KM , Portal or OS settings (memory allocation, disk settings, etc) so i can do my export this way, or is it just not pheasible to use ICE to export a large repository?
regards
rob
Hi Robert
I dont know if this setting is only relevant for Online Content Exchange, but you could try it to make it higher:

Hi Robert,
there is a size limitation for ICE packages of 2GB as you can read here:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e2/61701deb253242bea2ebeafa190e83/frameset.htm
For large ICE packages, less than 2GB I would suggest to proceed in the following way:
1. Copy the file "Complete Package" to /etc/ice using the KM copy function in the menu context of the resource
2. Watch the below file to grow in the filesystem
"/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/config/cm/etc/ice/fullupdate.zip"
3. Even if the UI shows "Page cannot be displayed" after a timeout, the export will then still proceed in background
You can than do the import in a similar way:
1. Copy the file to the target system at
"/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/config/cm/etc/ice/fullupdate.zip"
2. Copy the KM resource /etc/ice/fullupdate.zip (actually the file in the filesystem you just copied in step 1. to /ice/subscriber/Update using again KM copy function
3. Again, you may get the "Page cannot be displayed" error but the import should however proceed in background
Hope this helps,
Robert
