KM Event Database Table growing larger / No Garbage Collection

Dear colleagues,

on NW 7.50 SPS 17, my customer has some serious problems with his KMC_EB_EVENT DB table.

The table is growing larger and larger (at the moment >43 GB) and the contents suggest that old KM events don't get deleted anymore.

We already checked "CM Repository GC" scheduler task, which correctly assign to a valid CM system and has a time table (every 15 minutes) set.

We checked various other configuration and compared with other systems in the landscape (Dev, Cons, Test), this issue only seems to occur on the productive system (as always ;-).

Do you have any hint, what the reason of this could be?

Dear Sascha,

KMC_EB_EVENT DB table is a table which stores all events of KM Contents , which means all of events within KMC will be stored into this table and this table needs a manual cleaning up process. We recommend you to perform regular backup and clearance for this table.

However, the scheduler job you mentioned is for CM repository GC task, which to perform GC action for CM repository storing process and no relationship with this table.
