Key Fields in BW InfoCube

I'd like to ask what is the equivalent of primary / composite key fields in BW InfoCube.

If I would like to consolidate data coming from VUSR02_HEADER table from multiple SAP systems, I'd like to use the source system's logical component name along with the user id as the composite key in the BW infoCube. How should I represent this in the infoCube?

Ideally all dimensions will act as key in cube. For the query about using same table from different sources, You can create separate cubes for different source systems and club those using multi provider.

You can create master data like user id with compounding attribute of logical source system and in cube use this userid master data, it will automatically add logical source system IO , here in transformation between cube and datasource you can keep source system as constant.

Hi Bhavin,

Is there a flag I need to set to mark all dimensions, or specific dimensions, as key in a cube? I suppose not all fields should be marked as key as there would be data that might change periodically like last logon date field from the source table.

In cube all characteristics in dimensions will act as a key and its connects with master data using SID. its a standard structure when you create a cube. there is no manual assignment.

If you want to assign keys then you have to add DSO. Datasource > DSO > Infocube.

Please search for extended star schema in sap bw for more information around cubes.
