Journal Entry - Change (Asynchronous) to update CD amount

Hi,

We need to update the CD amount on Journal Entry, and we are using Journal Entry - Change (Asynchronous). to do so. However, I can't see an option to change the CD amount. How can I achieve this?

Hi sangwan, reading the help: "Cash Discount Amount in Document Currency Definition Cash discount amount in document currency. Use For open items, this amount is the cash discount agreed upon (assuming a fixed amount was agreed upon and not a percentage rate). For cleared items, the amount shows the cash discount that was actually taken. Procedure During document entry, you only need enter the cash discount amount if this amount is fixed rather than a percentage rate. This amount is no longer changed by the system." I would like to share some additional comments on this topic.

• SAP has a Journal Entry - Update Discount Information API that enables modifications to the CD Amount field. However, it has certain constraints, such as the lack of support for bulk updates, and it cannot process inbound messages if no corresponding outbound message has been sent previously. Would you like to use this as a reference and officially add the CD Amount field in the Journal Entry - Change API?
• When integrating with external systems and using percentage fields, decimal rounding issues arise due to the 3-decimal limitation. Therefore, we have experienced stakeholders sometimes asking for CD Amount to update operations.
• CD Amount does not even exist in the Journal Entry - Post

This request is well researched, and i believe you have tested the extent of the API. Can you add your comments in the Feedback form in the Journal Entry Change API ?
