Hi,
Do we need to have the service /default_host/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui activated to use SAP Screen Personas?
We are currently on version 3.0 SP11 and we turned off webgui services in our sandbox to perform some regression testing due to vulnerability identified by our Security folks with webgui servcies. We also tested SAP Screen Personas while the webgui services were down and we did not see any service interruptions. The SAP Screen Personas worked without needing the webgui services. So we're just wondering if we could keep webgui service deactivated and still use Personas.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Farhard,
The SAP Screen Personas service that should be used is:
/default_host/sap/bc/personas
For the Slipstream Engine, the service is:
/default_host/sap/bc/se/m
The WEBGUI service (SAP GUI for HTML) does not have relationship with Personas (should not be used for Personas purposes).

Cris

Hi Farhard,
I don't think it will impact since sap personas access through
http(s)://<hostname>:<port>/sap/bc/personas?sap-client=000
where its/webgui has different node.

The personas service is a customized copy of the webgui service, so if your basis team is worried about some webgui vulnerability, then this will also be applicable to Personas. I wonder what that vulnerability is though...

Thank you very much, I just had to ask because in SAP documentation, it's mentioned that this service is required to be activated
