we have a lot of old reports that are using legacy drivers. We need to update to ODBC SQL Server 17. What steps do we need to take to make this work? Trying to connect the reports to the new driver gives an erroe

hi Alao, first have a look at the support matrix for your version...since you mentioned old reports here's a kbase with the list of unsupported CR versions  and here's a help file (URL subject to change) Crystal Reports - Supported Platforms for 2020 and 2016.

You might want to provide some more info on your current environment:

  1. What version of CR?
  2. Is this desktop only or is it CR Server / BOBJ Ent?
  3. What is the ODBC driver you're using?
  4. What is the error?
  5. Does the error occur in other products such as Excel?
  6. Anything else that can help the forum members help you out.
