It is possible to have a Sandbox Server on SAP RISE for 6-9 months?

I have a customer that wants to convert from SAP ECC6 on HANA to S/4HANA. We want to implement, test and document most of the work in a sandbox server (copy of Production), then repeat everything in their Dev, QA and Prod systems.

For this, we will need a Sandbox server in SAP RISE for 6-9 months. Is it possible to provision a server on this basis?

The SAP Account Executive we are talking to says that it isn't - and they they will need to provision a server until the end of the current contract (which ends in September 2027!).

Hi Paul, any feedback yet or work around? We also need a sandbox server in SAP RISE to test if our industry specific variant configurator is still working and if linked production software running in another cloud subscription is still working fine (no latency issues).
