Issue with type ahead

Good day,

This is the result of the type ahead in SAP GUI for Windows. For example when I type Bra the search result is highlighted (i.e. bolden)

....However, in Personas (SP11), the behavior differs. I do get the same result (i.e. number of hits) but the result is not highlighted (bolden).

I have checked the note status in "Health Check" and the notes are all up to date.

I'm just wondering if this is a normal behavior.

Hi Cyrus,

Share the kernel version and patch level + SAP_BASIS version and SP level.

Maybe there is a WEBGUI-related correction missing.

Thank you for response. I'm using transaction IW21 (Create notification) but it is not limited in here, it's ubiquitous regardless of the transaction. In Slipstream, the typeahead correctly boldens the item, the behavior seems to be in WebGui.

This is the Kernel version and patch level and other info

It seems that the issue is with the theme.

My tests showed that with sap_bluecrystal theme, the bold font is not used; with sap_belize theme, the bold text appears.

Some screenshots:

The same happens with kernel 7.53 patch levels 800 and 820.

I'm discussing the issue with a colleague - tomorrow I should have an answer.

It looks like the feature is only implemented in new themes.

I am now checking whether it would be possible to have it extended to older themes, like sap_bluecrystal. I'll update the thread again once I know more.

Sorry to bug you but has there been any update on this? Is there anything that I can do to make the typeahead to behave the same way (i.e. bolden the search)?

You mentioned that the behavior exists in the Belize theme. Can I apply the Belize theme to my flavours?

You can add &sap-theme=sap_belize to the end of the URL and test how this behaves. You will likely have to make some adjustments to the flavor though, due to the different scaling of the themes.

I just tried it in both regular webgui and Slipstream Engine in SP11 and SP12 and in general, I get the matches highlighted (bold).

Perhaps this is specific to some transaction or one of its screens? Which one is your screen shot from?
