Issue with SAP ENABLE NOW Simulation Recording on SAP RISE

Hi everyone,

I’m encountering an issue when recording simulations with SAP ENABLE NOW on an SAP RISE system.

Our customer has two systems:

  • Quality system migrated to SAP RISE
  • Production system still on-premise ECC6 (migration to RISE in progress)
  • Connection via SAP LOGON on both systems

Observed Issues:

  1. Recording a simulation on the Production system (on-premise ECC6) – OK
    • No issues, normal behavior
  2. Recording the same transactions from the same PC on the Quality system (RISE) – KO
    • The highlighting frame around input fields is incorrectly positioned (too large, covering more than the input field).
    • Auto-generated text is incorrect: for example, instead of "The field is filled out" (Production), we get "Field is clearing" (Quality).
    • Incorrect input values displayed during playback: special characters appear instead (e.g., é-#).
    • First letter entry triggers an automatic recording (Producer bar turns red), meaning input is split into two steps: first letter → then the rest of the input.

Configuration Adjustments Already Made:

  • Transaction RZ11 settings configured.
  • SAP Logon settings adjusted according to SAP recommendations (Blue Crystal Theme, Notifications disabled, Narrow cursor, Accessibility & Scripting settings, etc.).
  • Screen scaling set to 100%.
  • Web browser zoom set to 100%.

The issue has been reproduced on multiple PCs and across different transactions (FI FB60, PP CO01, etc.).

Has anyone experienced a similar issue when using SAP ENABLE NOW on SAP RISE? Any insights or potential fixes would be greatly appreciated!

Regards

Mickael

Hi Mickael,

If you are having issues recording Simulations in browser-based applications, such as Edge, there is a known current issue in Producer.  If your Rise application is running in Edge, look at this KBA for details about how you might address the issue until a fix is made available, likely in the May release this year.

After looking at the KBA, if you are still experiencing issues, please raise a support ticket using the Component ID KM-SEN-PRO and have the support team take a closer look.

Regards
Shane
