Issue while deploying OAuth2 authorization code in CPI

Dear Cloud Integration Experts,

We have been facing an issue while trying to deploy the OAUth2 authorization code in CPI tenant.

The steps mentioned in this link have been followed during the config - blogs.sap.com/2020/08/20/cloud-intgration-connect-to-microsoft-365-mail-with-oauth2/

When we try to "Authorize" the security artifact in security materials, basically a popup should appear asking for the username and password. Then we need to provide the service user credentials. But in our case by default it is taking the CPI logged in user's credentials and generating the token. Because of this the interface is failing with "unsuccessful" authentication error.

We even tried clearing the browser cache and also with private window to generate the token and it is still taking the logged in user's credentials to generate the token.

Did anyone face the similar issue? Any inputs/suggestions are highly appreciable.

Thanks,

Ashwini

This issue has been fixed. We added the service user in CPI cockpit and logged into CPI with the same user to authorize the artifact. The token got generated with the same user.

Hi Ashwini,

We have followed the same blog and are getting 401 Authorization error but we do get the prompt to enter the correct mailbox ID and password.

Here's the question I have posted for the same with details:

Were you able to successfully authorize before you created the user in CPI?

Thanks,
