I don't think it is crashing but instead the install process has completed. If you are launching install.cmd by double clicking on it from Windows Explorer it will open a Command Prompt to execute the script and then close the window when complete. You can verify it successfully completed by checking the same directory for the create-client.cmd after the window closes.
You can also open a Command Prompt window and navigate to the directory where install.cmd is located and run it from the command prompt. Executing it this way will not close the window when complete and you can then confirm you see the "Successfully installed dependencies." message and the statement about running create-client.cmd.
