Issue in standard start Routine in bw 7.3

Syntax Error in Standard start routine in the transformation of info object 0BPARTNER

"E:In PERFORM or CALL FUNCTION "ROUTINE_9998", the actual parameter "SOURCE_PACKAGE" is incompatible with the formal parameter "DATA_PACKAGE".

As i cant do changes in the code. Please let me know if any solution to resolve issue

I guess there are some extra field/fields in source_package.

I got some what similar issue long back. Previously my client was using 3.5 and he moved to BI 7.3. Then i copied the same code in start_routine to new transformation in Bi 7.3 then i got error that its not compatible. Then i removed the extra fields which got added in source_package( a pop window comes asking select source fields for start Routine) then it got resolved. Please make it a try. may be this resolves your issue. i dont remember exactly whether i got same message as you.

I have unchecke the match x option in bussiness content so it overwriteen the old start routine code and replace with new. so got activated

Hi Naiduz,

If you have activated the transformation from business content, then the code should syntactically be correct. If the issue still persists then re-activate the transformation from the business content if you don't have much customization in the transformation.

Looking into the error, it seems somebody has changed the code since standard written code won't give such errors.

unbale to resolve.. tried activating transformation using abap programme

RSDG_TRFN_ACTIVATE but it says

@5C\QError@ Error/warning occurred. Activate manually using TRFN UI

if i try to go change mode its going to dump

i tried reinstalling.. it is showing error message for  start routin of a transformation. But there is no routine and transformation is active. Still it is showing error in bussiness content

Hi

The routine "ROUTINE_9998" contains an element DATA_PACKAGE but it should be SOURCE_PACKAGE. Either you look for that routine and change the code or you need to implement a patch for your BI_CONT in order to get it fixed.

After migration , we need to correct the code manually as per the current version , so try to look into the format of the start routine how we use from 7.x version onwards.

while migration of 3.5 to 7.0.we did manual changes in ABAP code I think you can correct it manually.
