ISQL and ISQL64

Hi Experts,

What is a different between Isql and isql64 in sybase with linux OS Where to check it?

in my client system only working isql64 command not working isql command.

Dear Mr Kumar

isql is a 32 bit executabl vs isql64 is a 64 bit executable.

you may check using the OS command 'file' 

What is your Linux Distribution and Version ?

Recently some distributors have started to omit installation of 32 bit runtime libraries so 32 bit executables wont work anymore.

There is a change request open for ASE to make isql and other 32 bit tools to be delivered as 64 bit tools if ASE is a 64 bit version

Hi,

Basically you are missing the 32 bit libs on your Linux box you probably need to install the libc6-dev:i386 package on your Linux box.
