Looks like dbunload when run on Redhat Linux creates a UTF-BOM encoded output file. Is there a way to tell dbunload to create just UTF-8 output file (turn off BOM). UNLOAD statement supports it: infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.sybase.help.sqlanywhere.12.0.1/dbreference/unload-statement.html (search for BYTE ORDER MARK clause).
Thanks
Suren
