Is possible reduce the bandwidth used from sap hana replication during initializing ?

during the initialization phase of the hana replication I have the saturation of the network band. The throughput can be limited ? We have set enable data and log compression at true .

so, if i seting compression data and log to 'false', then i can reduce the throughput ?
