Hi everyone-
I am trying to find out if it is possible to use SOLMAN 7.2 without using the ITPPM area at all. It is my understanding that ITPPM is not required and it is possible to set up Solution Documentation, use test suite (i.e use CBTA for automated testing and do testing such as BPCA/SEA), use Change Control Management/ChaRm (i.e create change documents based off of the solution and create transport requests/push transports through to prod with the change document). Essentially, set up SolDoc, create a change doc, and transport the change to prod. Is this correct?
Hi Kelsey. Yes you can use Solution Documentation, Test suite, ChaRm without ITPPM.

Thanks Rodion- I know this question is very similar to the last one you answered for me but I wanted to add a bit more information to be sure!
Would you be able to clarify something for me as well then, that without the use of ITPPM, nothing in the solution (i.e. under business processes: scenario/business process/step) in Solution Documentation would be considered a project? Or need to be modified into a project?
In 7.1, our team created projects (via SOLAR01/02 and project admin) to transport changes into production. Since these transactions are obsolete in 7.2 and our one solution in SOLDOC is now the home for all our business processes spanning multiple logical component groups, I am wondering if when enhancements/upgrades or service packs need to be added, if no 'project' is created in SOLDOC, only the relevant transactions are 'indicated' (for lack of a better word) on the change document (along with everything else to do with ChaRm). Is this correct? I am really struggling to find an answer to this, so any help would be appreciated- thank you!!
