Hi,
Is it possible to read the data from analytical view from SAP datasphere and write it back to SAC planning model ?
I know we can do this by importing the data from SAP Datasphere to SAC via Odata connection but is it possible via scripting?
Anyone who has faced this issue or knows the workaround in this case. Their comments would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks

There is no scripting API to support Writeback to planning model. The Analytic Application API are more for layout and UX and not data writeback. Yes Importing data is an option as you have mentioned.

In Q1 2024 SAP released "Data Actions – cross-model copy with analytic models (SAC owned) as a source" which I hope they will expand further on.
Maybe @Max_Gander can comment better on roadmap & timing, but I heard one of the next goals of Datasphere/SAC planning integration could very well be to allow for a data actions capability (LINK) to be able to run (read) data from (live?) Analytic models or directly from DataSphere Analytical views, and store results back into your planning models.
This would be very valuable to copy-in latest actuals without import job (although you still need it for master data sync), but even better: to perform advanced calculations for your planning models (for example: to apply inflation rates) completely eliminating the need to bring in this reference data into a model in SAC.

Hi,
In the context of seamless planning we plan to let you reference fact tables and views from the SAP Datasphere space that your planning model is deployed to. With that you could:

Hi @Max_Gander,
May I ask if the ability to reference virtual data (from Datasphere) in SAC data action is already available in the current release of seamless planning?
