Hi there,

Could you describe your use case?

For variables, we can only define numeric values, generic dimensions, organization dimensions and the Date dimension. We do not have the ability to define the Account dimension or Version.

Please advise, thanks.

Hi all,

I'm re-openning this topics as I'm facing a similar requirement so below the context & use case:

- CONTEXT: In story designer you can have restricted measures with story input control on version dimension to create variance (comparing budget vs actual for example)

- USE CASE: In the SAC MS excel add-in you can't create input control so the idea is to create a restricted measure at the model level and leverage the model variables as a prompt to give the possibility to the user to select base & comparison versions directly from MS Excel add-in.

QUESTIONS 1: Any reason why the usage of the version dimension is not possible in model variable ?

QUESTIONS 1:  Any suggestion or workaround ?

Thank in advance for your help here.

Regards,

Boris
