Is it possible to change the worker-id in S/4HANA Public Cloud Systems?

Hello all,

Is it possible to change the Worker-ID for a user in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition?  If yes, how?

We created some users during the initial PREPARE Phase with format first.lastname, as the worker/employee ID was unavailable then.

Is it now possible to change the field now?

Hi Shaji,

Unfortunately, you cannot change Worker-ID for a specific worker. The same person cannot have two Worker-ID.  You have to create a new worker for that purpose.

In addition, the system user (to logon to S/4HANA system) or business user is linked to this Worker ID and cannot be changed either. 

So the best way is to lock those users and re-create new users with the correct Worker-ID from your organization.

Thank you for your reply and solution.

Currently, only the Starter System is provisioned where we face the issue.

For the remaining systems in the landscape, will ensure to use the same worker-id as in the associated HR system.
