Is it possible to adopt the language setting from WorkZone in an App built using SAP Build Apps

I have an app built using SAP Build Apps which is published to SAP Build Work Zone. Is there a way to set the language of the app to the langauge setting in SAP Build Work Zone? 

I tried to process the standard URL parameter set by SAP Build Work Zone, sap-locale, to set systemVars.i18n.currentLanguage. But the app does not appear to be receiving this parameter in systemVars.initialUrl eventhough it is set by SAP Build Work Zone. If I set this parameter in preview, the app is receiving the parameter.
