Is Cache server required really while we install sap content server??

I am installing content server. I got option's as below while installing content server and got little confused. Please help with your Knowledge power.

Here i want to know that do i really need to install cache server while installing content server. Also what about the Install Database Instance in Cache server. Do both of these options really required to be installed ?.if yes then what is the use of Cache server and Cache Database instance in content server.

In theory No... Cache Server is used for APO, etc... I dont think its required for Content Server

juan.reyes i was also told that its required only when we have DMS installed in distributed environment like for every location or for every VLAN. for single system landscape it does not create any difference.

Hello,

You need only to install the Content Server and if you want to make use of the Dtabase also select to install the Database Instance. TThis will install a MaxDB database .
