Is an add-on needed to upload files to SAP ByDesign

A client has SAP ByDesign, are they required to purchase an add on to be able to upload files such as .csv. excel to SAP ByDesign?

You can refer to the help document Using the Add-In for Microsoft Excel® | SAP Help Portal

You can find the Excel Add on by going to:

1. Go to the Application and User Management work center.
2. Select the view Download center.

The Download Center provides you with additional software that you can use to optimize the integration of SAP Business ByDesign with your computer. You can download and install software that is relevant to all end users and specific software for key user administration.

Hello,

this depends on the what kind of file is required to be uploaded or for which Process such file upload is needed.

In general ByDesign offer excel add-in to upload certain files ( or import the documents in the system) or system also allows direct uploads as well. such features are already included in byDesign and does not requrie additional purchase of excela add-in.
