We are currently operating an SAP ECC 6.0 EhP 5 system and are planning to implement Solution Manager. The primary objectives for implementing Solution Manager are to utilize the EarlyWatch Alert and support the upgrade to EhP 6.

Could you please provide guidance on the following points?

1.Installation of Solution Manager:
Can we set up the necessary environment for utilizing PERSON_NAME and upgrading to EhP 6 by creating a plan with the Maintenance Planner and executing the Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM)? Are there any additional components or configurations that need to be installed separately to achieve these objectives?

2.Server Configuration:
The server configuration for implementing Solution Manager is as follows:
OS: Windows Server DIGITS
DB: Oracle 19 (planned)
Are there any specific points to be aware of or recommended settings for this configuration?

3.Licensing:
Could you provide specific information about the necessary licenses for implementing Solution Manager? Are there any licensing requirements related to the use of PERSON_NAME or the upgrade to EhP 6?

4.Other Considerations:
Are there any particular points to be aware of or best practices recommended when implementing Solution Manager?

EWA is a standalone feature of SOLMAN. It needs to be configured after installation. I'd like to suggest you report another case under component SV-SMG-SER-EWA since the related question is out of our scope. Also, for EhP 6 upgrade question, please reach BC-UPG-MP.

1. Yes. Please plan new installation with the Maintenance Planner and executing the SWPM. EWA configuration should be performed after the installation. Please check Installation of SAP Solution Manager.
2. There are no specific points for specific OS/DB version. Please just follow the instruction during the configuration.
3. There is no mention of specific license information in Master Guide.
4. Please check Master Guide.
