Inquiry Regarding Satellite Registration of New SAP ERP System in Solution Manager

We are currently in the process of replacing our SAP ERP system (same SID, different hostname). Our Solution Manager will remain unchanged and we need to register the new system as a satellite system in the existing Solution Manager.

After transferring the configuration information to SLD via RZ70, it appears that the technical system entry for our existing environment has been overwritten with the information from the new environment.

Could you please advise on the proper procedure to register both the existing and new environments as satellite systems?

For your information, our SLD is connected to Solution Manager via our central PI server.

You are currently replacing your SAP ERP system (same SID, different hostname), and the old SAP ERP system will not be used anymore, right? If yes, you can check Note 1727294, which describes how to avoid duplicates in the future.

For already existing system duplicates, refer to SAP Note 1694004.
