I understand that InfoPackage Group is no longer supported in BI 7.
We would need to migrate it into Process Chain.
But do you know the steps to perform this?
Hi,
You can directly migrate IP Group into Process chain.
You can goto Tcode RSA1OLD Select InfoPackage group tree . From there, you can select the InfoPackage group. In the maintenance for the InfoPackage group, you select the process chains. The InfoPackages of the InfoPackage group are then embedded in a process chain.

Thanks for the help/info.
Yes, in RSA1 (I am still in 3.x client) ->InfoSouce, I click on InfoPackage Group icon. I can then see a list of InfoPackage Group.
I double-click one of the InfoPackage Group, under the InfoPackages tab, I see a list of InfoPack assigned to it. On top there, I see
the Process Chain Maint button. I click on it and created a new Process Chain. In the Process Chain screen, I activated and saved this Process Chain.
Exit from Process Chain screen and back to InfoPackage Group screen, I still see the InfoPackage Group is there.
Why and how? How exactly we convert the InfoPackage Group?
Please advice, thanks.
Thanks.
But the problem is the InfoPack Grp is still there. What I worry is when the job is running in the background, it will trigger this InfoPack Grp again right? Should we not to delete it?
Also, if I double click on the InfoPackage (assigned to InfoPack Grp and now PC) now, it prompt me to choose InfoPack Grp or PC....Why? I have some 30 InfoPackage. Do I need to open and choose one by one?
please advice, thakns.
