Info queries on sac

Hi,

I am newbie with reference of SAP S4HANA and SAC. We need to fetch user created SAP Queries( SQ01, SQ02 and SQ03) directly to SAP Analytical Cloud (SAC). There are multiple queries created by functional and it seems impossible to create them from scratch.

Currently we are using HANA Studio to create CDS Views and then we are calling on SAC from Live Data model.

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards,

Hi sumaira.gopalani,

You can consume InfoSet Queries directly in SAC, Although, consuming live infoset queries in SAC, may show some serious performance hit. Your SAC query can be way slower than S4 counter part.

This is regardless if you go via HANA CV or create virtual BW queries in S4 side. Best option would be to import data into SAC directly from S4 (no middle layer). Of course it all depends upon if your requirement is flexible in terms of data staging on SAC side.
Later you can blend multiple dataset on SAC side.

Here is a Q&A thread with some interesting details around different options. Thread discuss details about ECC - SAC, most of the items are applicable to S4 as well :

Considering we have BW but we are not utilizing the BW server, how can we consume our SAP info queries directly into SAC?

If I will use HANA studio for creation of calculation view then it would be like creating the query from the scratch rather then utilizing the existing SAP Infoset query.

Hi sumaira.gopalani

You can directly import data in SAC. Consuming infoset query from S4. Is this an option?
As mentioned earlier going via BW route, means you are relaying on virtual data. There will be performance hit. Unless you are trying to import data in BW layer first. Though if you are planning to import data in BW, why not do it directly in SAC? http://easy-learn-bw.blogspot.com/2013/07/extraction-using-infoset-query.htmlIf you have to use Live connection (only) in SAC, then BW is a better choose. There are no direct option to consume infoset query in HANA CVThanks,
