Incremental (re)training in Predictive Factory

Hello,

Just a small question about SAP Predictive Factory:

I created a model in Predictive Analytics and I need to retrain it using Predictive Factory. To do so, the model is "reset" and I must provide a large dataset to retrain the model as if it was never trained before or is it possible to retrain the model using Incremental Training with few new records keeping the previous training?

Hi Rafael, we do not provide incremental training. The rationale here is that the predictive model heavily depends from the up to date training data. So either there are no deviations and you can continue to use the predictive model "as is" or there are deviations and you need to retrain the model as you described. When retraining the model several options are offered. My guidance would be to let Factory freely choose the model variables and the model coefficients. Otherwise the solution found at retraining time might be sub-optimal.
