In BAS, ui5-deploy.yaml files in all applications have an "Unable to load schema ..." error.

Out of the blue last week, in all applications that I load into BAS, the ui5-deploy.yaml is registering the following error: 

Unable to load schema from 'https://sap.github.io/ui5-tooling/schema/ui5.yaml.json': Request vscode/content failed unexpectedly without providing any details. YAML(768)

I haven't made any changes myself that would cause this for every application, but I do believe the error showed up after an SAP update to BAS. So far, research that I've done hasn't turned up any answers. Anybody have any ideas?

I think the error went away for me when I asked IT to deal with some type of proxy certificate error I was having
