Importing multiple hierarchies from BW to SAC

Dear community,

Is it possible to import multiple hiearchies from BW to a SAC Dimension in a single import job? Or i do need multiple import jobs for each hierarchy?

Hello thodoros_polychronopoulos,

SAC supports multiple hierarchies for individual dimensions. Only limitation is you are not allowed to have different types of hierarchies (level and parent child) under same dimensions.

Although when you connect to BW import connection, you get only radio buttons when it comes to hierarchy selection. This means you can choose one hierarchy while for model.

Workaround would be to use public dimensions instead and create multiple import jobs for individual hierarchies. This way you will have multiple hierarchy access at story level without impacting your model data.

My question is if i can load multiple hierarchies in a single SAC dimension with one import job or i have to import multiple times? At the moment i see the option to select only one hierarchy from the list of BW hierarchies

You can load one hierarchy at at time. So multiple jobs will be required.
