Import Connection using Cloud Agent

When creating a “Cloud To On-Premise” mapping for a BW System Backend I have installed the SAP Cloud Agent on the same server as the SAP Cloud Connector (using a separate Tomcat instance than the embedded Tomcat of SAP Cloud Connector) The SAP Cloud Agent is running fine and I am very confused on how it connects to the SAP On-Premise systems when setting up mappings.

When setting up System Mappings should I select the “Other SAP System” option and give the server name & port of the SAP Cloud Agent?

If that is correct how do you tell the connection to connect to your desire backend system? I have attempted to put in a https//hostname:host port/sap/opu/odata/sap/<TechnicalServiceName>" in the Add Resource section of the “Cloud To On-Premise” but I keep getting a error “XXXXXXXXX is not a valid path”

Any help will be appreciated!!!

Hello stewam1,

If you want to create import data connection, please check mention below steps:

In Cloud Connector ->

Login with your credentials (Administrator/ manage) and select Cloud To On-Premise

Click the + icon to add a new Access Control.

cloud to on premise >> + >> other SAP system >> protocol: http >> virtual host : abcd , virtual port : 9080

principle type: none >> next >> finish.

For ODATA:

Add a new system mapping and resource with the following details:

  • Virtual and Internal host = <Host name of ODATA Service provider>
  • Virtual and Internal port = <Port of ODATA Service provider>
  • URL path = /
  • Access policy = Path and all sub-paths.

Meanwhile I have provide you a blog for Import data connection, please go through with the provided document once:
