IDES EHP6 : Client 800 not available in system

HI ,

I just installed SAP IDES EHP6 in my laptop.

Installation went smooth and was completed successfully. I was able to login to client 000, 001 with default Master Password I've set during installation.

My next step was to login to client 800, and as per information provided on SAP note following were the default userID and password for IDES :-

• user: idadmin / password: ides
• user: sap*/ password: (defined during installation) (For 8x clients password – 06071992)
• user: ddic/ password: (defined during installation) (For 8x clients password – 19920706)

When I tried to login to client 800 with user SAP*, I've got following error message :-

CLIENT 800 IS NOT AVAILABLE IN THIS SYSTEM

I tried to search the net for the same, and came to know that I need to login to client 000 with SAP* user and then I need to do following :-

1. Run T-Code - SCC4 and create new client 800.

2. Run T-Code - SCCL to do client copy from 000.

I tried step 1 and using tcode SCC4 created client 800 in my system. But when I tried to run t-code SCCL in cilent 000, I got following error :-

Target client is productive and protected against client copy

Then I tried to login to client 800, now this time the error mentioned above does not appear, but even I was unable to login to client 800 by user SAP* (I tried default passwords, master password).

So I request BASIS experts here to guide me for :-

a. Create client 800 properly , where I can log in

b. Copy data into the client, so that I can use client 800 for development/training.

Hi Ekam,

Login with user DDIC in client 000 and then perform these configurations.

Incase you do not have credentials for DDIC you can reset it with user SAP*.

On Client 000 with User ID : DDIC for transaction : BD54, I am getting following error:-

User DDIC may not make changes in customer systems

Choose 'Display object' or 'Cancel'.

My sole purpose is to make client 800 available. But till now nothing worked.
