IAS with 2 source systems: SF for users and Entra for groups - possible ?

Hi partner consultants,

Client is looking at having 2 source systems in IPS. Main purpose is they want Groups to come from Azure/Entra and users to be automatically assigned to the groups in IAS and eventually this groups will be used to assign role collections in BTP. Question is if it is feasible (that you have these 2 sources?)?

- Users will come from SF (Typical SuccessFactors IPS Source to IAS IPS Target)

- Groups will come from Azure/Entra (Azure IPS Source to IAS IPS Target)

Standalone, these two will work but together, little bit skeptical. Is there a KBA that could tell exactly this set-up/combination is not a good idea? Also thinking about shared IAS environments that was common in the past and how they worked but appreciate experience and inputs please.

Thank you so much!

Hi,

You can try the Merging data from multiple sources approach and see if it works for you: Centralized Provisioning with Identity Directory | SAP Help Portal
